Hilex Poly, operator of a manufacturing facility in Jerome, Idaho (located in the heart of Idaho’s Magic Valley) as well as the world’s largest plastic bag recycling facility in North Vernon, Indiana, has come to know and be a part of the Magic Valley’s efforts to become a more sustainable community through recycling. This month we’re excited to kick-off a program with the College of Southern Idaho (CSI) making the campus a central drop-off point for the recycling of plastic bags in the area.
To celebrate the start of this program, Hilex is sponsoring the popular CSI men’s basketball tournament to raise awareness of the new and enhanced recycling options available through CSI. Once an effective recycling program is established with the main campus, Hilex will expand coverage to CSI’s extension campuses. This recycling initiative will make it even easier for Magic Valley residents to recycle their plastic bags by providing fourteen additional drop-off points, building upon the strong recycling efforts already supported by Hilex’s 125 Jerome plant employees.
